We have opted not to go fully organic because we believe that it is not in the best interest of the animals. We do not use hormones of any kind, but we do want to reserve the right to treat our goats for parasites and to use antibiotics when medically necessary. We believe that these methods achieve a balance that provides you, the customer, with a high quality wholesome product and provides the goats with healthy and productive lives. We treat our goats with respect from the day they are born and make the end of life process as low stress as possible. All of our goats are processed at Luce's Meat in North Anson, ME. Luce's is the only meat processing facility in New England to be certified by Whole Foods Market. |
